Today is the big day! You get to be a part of the biggest prayer gathering in Katy ... ever! You don't want to miss our National Day of Prayer event at the Merrill Center at 7 p.m. 4000 come together to pray! Please join me in praying for our communities, city, state and nation and all our leaders.Let's stand in the gap together. Tonight! Thursday, 7 p.m. at the Merrell Center - to ask God for His blessing and leadership in our land. See you there! Arrive a little early to get a great seat as we pack out the Merrill center.
Tuesday I stood in line to vote. It was quick and painless ... but some voters paid dearly standing in long lines and waiting for hours, even after the polls closed, in order to exercise a fundamental privilege of living in the United States - the right to vote. The elections are now over and no matter how you voted or how your candidate faired, we are all called to lift up our leaders in prayer, no matter their political persuasion.
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." 1 Timothy 2:1-4
