Angelfish Three Year Olds
Welcome to the Angelfish class! This class is at the fun age of three! We are becoming more independent, and love exploring our world. We are a small class, in which we will make some new friends. We believe all children are a special gift from God. One of our goals is to teach each child and encourage them to try to do their best. We will help build these core values: Physical, Social, Cognitive, Emotional, & Spiritual growth.
The Angelfish class will learn that God is our creator, who also sent His Son to save us from our sins. We will also learn where this is found - in God's Holy Bible. We will also have puppets, stuffed animals, as well as pictures, and props to help create and bring these important foundational messages to life.
Our class will also focus on nurturing each child to develop their motor skills by encouraging them to participate in many developmentally appropriate games and creative activities like finger painting, coloring, tracing, and other finger plays because we believe that children learn through physical play and a variety of hands on activities.
We will also stimulate their increasing cognitive skills by encouraging them to use their creativity and curiosity when they encounter new tasks. Our class will be given a teacher guided and self-guided experiences in which they can explore. Simple Math like counting, ordering, patterning, and matching will be introduced. In language and pre-reading skills, we will learn the alphabet and recognize the upper/lowercase letters, recognize our name in print, colors, understand opposites and position words, etc.
